Celebrate Your Way To Thin

Losing weight can frequently be a slow, maddening process, which makes it seem like hitting your goal will take a very long time. And between now and then you’ve got lots of deprivation, apathy, and sacrifice to anticipate. Sound depressing? It is!

But – what if losing weight may be a lot more fun than that? What if you could celebrate something great every single day as you move toward your ideal weight?

You can. You have to adopt the right mind-set and start recognizing little victories as you encounter them.

What type of “little victories”? Obviously, when you realize your perfect weight you’ll see that as a victory. But what about all of the pounds you may lose in order to get there? Each one of those pounds can make you feel victorious as the pounds disappear. Beginning today, celebrate crazily when you lose one pound. Jump up and down; dance around; give yourself a gold star; get yourself a nice present; write yourself a note of congratulations; put on a party hat and throw confetti… Do whatever causes you to feel like you have just accomplished something great. You have!

There are lots of other small victories you can celebrate, too. What about celebrating when you have stuck to your promise to drink 8 tumblers of water a day? Or when you did really great eating little portions? Or when you slip into a smaller size clothing? Or when you begin to actually enjoy veggies rather than dreading them?

All these “little accomplishments” are basically BIG in importance and they ought to be celebrated! It may appear mad to celebrate in such obvious ways but who cares? Make it a laugh, make it exciting, make yourself feel extremely good about your daily achievements. If you don’t pat yourself on the back and cheer yourself on, who else will?

These tiny celebrations serve as fantastic inducement to keep you moving gradually and quickly towards your perfect weight.
