Quick Ways to Lose 15 Pounds
For many, 15 pounds seems like a lot of weight to shed. You have that extra fat clinging to you from all angles, and you’ve probably already tried lots of ways to shift the flab. I’d really like to give you a helping hand. To be honest, I’ve had my fair share of battles with losing weight. But I changed, and you can too. Losing the fat is actually quite a basic process, but you will need some motivation.
At the end of the day, there are basically 2 parts of your life that will need to change to make this fat loss work. These changes are not rocket science – you have to modify both the type of foods you eat (and how much) and your level of exercise. I’d like to share with you some basic principles that really helped me lose a great deal of weight – fifty pounds in all. Time is of the essence, let’s get going!

Food, Glorious Food!
If you want to lose the weight quickly, you will have to be very careful about your calorie and fat intake. It’s very likely that you’ll want to lose the weight quickly, so some big changes will have to happen. If you stop and think about it, by definition, diets are short-term.
There is only nutritious eating and exercise if you want to lose and keep the 15 pounds off. Make the shift from ‘I want to lose weight‘ to ‘I want to be healthy. I made this change, and it really did make all the difference for me.
I won’t go into detail about the ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ foods, you probably have a good idea about this already. Basically, just think in terms of what’s healthy for me, it will boost your self-esteem and drop those pounds.
When looking at your eating, the obvious applies: Stay away from fatty, high sugar, and salty foods – occasionally indulge, but make it very occasional. If you don’t want to make eating fatty foods a habit, then plan when you’re going to let your guard down, don’t just ‘let it happen’.

Let’s get Physical!
To burn fat, you’ve got to get your heart rate up and keep it there on a very regular basis. I would suggest physical activity 4 or 5 times a week, for at least 30 minutes. I just couldn’t believe how much more energetic I was after exercising every day. I was shocked, expending energy gives you so much more energy, [amazing?incredible]! Choose something you enjoy – come on, there must be something: boxing, a fast walk or sprint, an aerobics session, fat burning dvd’s, running machines, gym work, the list goes on. Just pick one and have fun.
The important part is to make sure it becomes a regular part of your life, make it realistic and schedule fitness into your day – it is so important, I cannot emphasies this enough. Finally, at least one workout a week should be of very high intensity, your metabolism will skyrocket and energy will just come flooding in.
I’ve devised a favourite list of mine to help burn calories, I find them both fun and effective. Take a look:
- Briskly walk up and down a flight of stairs
- Do some spot running quickly
- Squatting
- Get a skipping rope, I bet you’ll love it
- Jumping jacks
- Do twenty push-ups
- Here’s one you may not enjoy, sit-ups – ouch!
So that’s it, pretty simple, VERY effective. The trick is building these changes into your routine. There are three simple steps: eat healthy goods, engage in some high intensity workouts, and use a simple calorie burning exercise above. If you do all 3, the weight will definitely slide off. It’s about health, not another diet – I’ve done it and so can you – good luck!
