The fortunate thing for you is that it is not necessary for you to have thousands of dollars worth of exercise equipment in order for you to get big and strong. As a matter of fact, it is not really necessary for you to have any equipment at all as you can use the body that you were given in order to provide all of the resistance that you need. This is not only a remote possibility, people are using their body and the weight that it provides to get stronger and stronger with each passing day.
Many of the people who are involved in sports, such as wrestling or mixed martial arts spend a lot of their time working out at home and using their own body to do so. These people are incredibly strong and although they may not be as bulky as somebody that goes to the gym and worked out with weights, and they can pack on quite a bit of lean muscle mass without really trying. The reason why this is the case is because using your body to exercise provides you with all of the resistance that you need and an intense workout that will change your physique rather quickly.
As with any type of exercise, when you’re working out at home like this you should start out with some slower exercises and work your way up. This will help you to prevent injury which can be rather discouraging and make anybody give up quickly whenever they are first starting out. Exercising with your own body weight is an excellent way for you to get in shape and to build the muscle that you need in order to stay in lean and strong and to look great.

Exercising with What You Have

The first, and most important thing is the motivation necessary in order to effectively work out at home. You need to make sure that these home workouts are going to provide you with resistance that will result in natural muscle growth. Many of us spend a lot of money on exercise equipment for use in the home that quite honestly, is not a necessary thing. Although it certainly doesn’t hurt to have this type of exercise equipment, it really is something that we can do without.
Gaining muscle at home naturally can be done by using your own weight as resistance. These type of exercises are familiar to all of us, sit ups, pull ups, push-ups and air squats. There is also an endless variety of exercises that we can do which use these basic core exercises as a foundation. Exercising in this way has a number of different benefits but here are the most important.
First of all, exercising using your own weight is going to help you to become strong if you do it regularly. It will also help you to add lean muscle mass on your body and to do so quickly if you push yourself. Many individuals who do this type of exercise exclusively are some of the strongest people that I know and can stand toe to toe with anybody that goes to the gym regularly.
Although it is a good idea to go to the gym and I’m certainly not saying that you should exclude that possibility, I am saying that it is possible for you to work out at home with the equipment that you carry around with you every day. Work out regularly and exercise like you really mean it and you will notice muscle and strength gains quickly.
Can You Gain Muscle and Burn Fat at the Same Time?
– By Jon Benson, Author of “7 Minute Muscle”
Many fitness pros just plain don’t believe that you can burn fat while building muscle at the same time. Every time I read an article by some doctor or expert claiming it’s “biologically impossible” to gain muscle on a hypocaloric diet (a diet low in calories) I just laugh.

Getting Better Results with the Bench Press
March 9, 2010 by admin

A bench press is a very basic and especially well-known strength building exercise. The real reason for practicing a bench press – besides simply the bragging rights – is to build strength in your pectoral muscles in addition to your triceps. A number of various stabilizing muscles get involved in the course of this movement, but those two sections benefit the most as a result of this one exercise. A great bench to look into is the Powertec WB-LS Workbench Leverage Gym.
The recommended technique for accomplishing a bench press depends on several simple motions, yet there are a few more details which the weightlifter will want to be aware of so as to avoid injury. You should start by lying supine on a bench, while keeping your feet firmly on the ground. The barbell must be hanging on pins directly overhead. You should press your shoulder blades together so as to use only the intended muscles during this exercise. After that, take hold of the bar with the hands equidistant from the center, and keep your elbows directly below your wrists. Unhook the barbell, bring it down steadily to your chest, then stop a moment and lift it back up. Move the bar up until your arms are straight and locked, then lower the bar again. Repeat as intended, then re-rack the barbell on the pins with your elbows locked.
The equipment called for to carry out bench presses is as simple as the method itself. A barbell combined with the normal collection of steel discs is a good starting point. Next, you should get a combination bench and support rack. A weight bench alone won’t do, since you will need a sturdy rack on which to hang a heavy barbell. Possibly the most important part of equipment to employ for bench pressing would be a spotter. A spotter is a person who is there to make sure you don’t drop several hundred pounds of weight on your face. You can get great results on the Powertec WB-LS Workbench Leverage Gym.
While we’re discussing safety, you should employ three main methods to avoid hurting yourself as you are doing a bench press. The first way is simply to be reasonable. Don’t ever lift more pounds than you are capable of. You’ll pick up on it rather quickly if you are about to do that, and at that point your spotter becomes incredibly useful. The second point is to be certain your position is stable. No area of your body needs to be unsupported, and there ought to be no potential for tilting sideways. Keeping your feet flat on the floor, your bottom against the bench and lifting a barbell rather than two dumbbells should keep you out of trouble. Finally, never “bounce” the bar off of your body at the base of the motion. Your rib cage is not designed for that sort of excitement.
A bench press has become a very common gym exercise, and it is also the exercise that produces many injuries. Bench presses permit your chest and arms to lift the biggest load of weight, so a bench press could be a effective body sculpting exercise in addition to a great incentive. Bragging rights could be a fairly effective motivator, too.
Home Exercise Equipment Can Save You Money And Help You Get Fit

Buying and using home fitness exercise equipment is a terrific way of enhancing both your fitness and general health. Our bodies work like machines and while we would like to eat all the things we know are bad for us but taste good be fit, happy and healthy.
If we never get any exercise at all our bodies become weak and flabby and you can expect to see more health problems in the future. Doing nothing is not good and taking up any physically active hobby or interest will help keep your body working at a certain level of fitness so home exercise equipment may be a great way to fit exercise into your busy life.
When you have a home gym you can work out any time you like and it avoids the need for you to travel to a local gym. Walking is another good way to build up your fitness so starting out gently and building up helps if this is the first exercising you have done for some years.
Another way to build up fitness and stamina is to go out cycling and this can be a lot of fun and you also get you some fresh air and gentle exercise. One convenient way to exercise is with the home gym system I bought recently and it has given me the opportunity to exercise for free anytime I feel like it.
I had always thought it would be very expensive buying a home exercise gym and I got a great gym for a bit less than it would cost for if I had paid for membership at my gym. A home exercise system can take up some room so the garage seemed the most appropriate place to install it and leave my spare room for guests. The garage seems to be a handy place for it and it is good to make good use of the garage and I enjoy training there because it is not so warm as being in the house.
Since the garage is away from the family if I am making a lot of noise when exercising they can watch TV or do homework undisturbed by my exercising. There are used home exercise gyms being offered for sale all the time and often these are being sold because they were never used and they are often almost like a brand new gym for maybe half the price.
You should always ask how much use the gym has been given and you should give the gym a check over before purchasing but in most cases you get a great home gym for a low price.
